Hi, I’m Valeria Ventura, a compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over six years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in family dynamics, anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns, and I offer bilingual therapy services in both English and Spanish. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, yoga, attending concerts, and prioritizing self-care and balance in my own life. I believe healing and growth happen both inside and outside of therapy, and I value creating meaningful connections and experiences.
I became a therapist because I’ve always believed that people deserve the opportunity to heal, grow, and feel less weighed down by anxiety, stress, and past experiences so they can move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
I work especially well with clients who struggle with overthinking, anxiety, self-esteem issues, relationship stress, and the lasting effects of difficult life experiences and childhood trauma. I incorporate evidence-based approaches, including trauma-informed care and EMDR techniques, to help clients build healthier coping skills, process difficult emotions, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, intuitive, and direct. I strive to create a supportive space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow while also feeling challenged in ways that encourage healing and personal development.
Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate things alone. I am committed to helping you feel supported every step of the way as we work toward a healthier, more fulfilling life together.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it’s your first time reaching out for support. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself.
During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to therapy. We’ll explore the challenges you’ve been experiencing, your personal history, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether my approach feels like the right fit for you.
I view therapy as a collaborative process. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support and guide you while providing practical tools, insight, and evidence-based strategies to help you create meaningful change.
If you’re a young professional who feels overwhelmed, stuck in perfectionism, or weighed down by anxiety or past experiences, you’re not alone. Therapy can be a space to slow down, gain clarity, and feel more grounded in your day-to-day life.
Anxiety & Overthinking
If your mind is always “on,” we’ll work on calming racing thoughts, reducing stress, and helping you feel more present and in control.
Perfectionism & Burnout
If you feel constant pressure to perform, fear making mistakes, or struggle to rest without guilt, we’ll work on building self-compassion, flexibility, and a healthier balance.
Trauma & EMDR Therapy
Past experiences can shape how you think, feel, and respond today. Using EMDR and other approaches, we’ll gently process those experiences so you can move forward with greater ease and confidence.
Life Transitions & Young Professionals
Whether you’re navigating career stress, identity shifts, or the pressure to “have it all together,” therapy can help you feel more grounded, clear, and aligned with your values.
My approach is warm, practical, and focused on helping you create meaningful, lasting change—so you can feel more like yourself again.
